Student Centers’ Values:

Student Development

The Student Center staff holds the belief that a student’s development occurs both inside and outside of the formal classroom. We provide quality learning opportunities that promote intellectual and professional growth as well as lifelong learning and personal development.

Student Focused

Committed to the educational advancement of the Rutgers student, the Student Centers believe in a student-first philosophy. We remain advocates for student needs and are committed to students being a vital focus in all departmental priorities, resource decisions, and planning.

The Student Centers provide and value a diverse, welcoming, and respectful environment where opportunities to embrace, celebrate, and learn about the qualities and experiences of all individuals and groups are encouraged.

With a high standard of professionalism, customer service, and care, the Student Centers intentionally deliver quality services and programs for all campus community members and guests. Through assessment we are committed to continuous improvement that meets the needs of our ever changing community and exceeds the standards set by our profession.

The Student Centers value participatory decision making and seek to create and engage in meaningful partnerships with students and campus stakeholders.

The Student Centers practice and role model ethical behavior and decision making through consistent, honest, and fair enforcement of policies as well as through accountability to each other, the Division, University, and State.
